Job summary

AFL is seeking a Low Voltage Technician III to lead installation, testing, commissioning, and documentation of structured cabling and telecom systems. This on-site role requires on-site leadership, customer interaction, and adherence to safety and quality standards across projects.

Responsibilities include installing and terminating copper cabling, performing copper certification, managing materials, and delivering complete documentation and as-built records to clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum certifications or training may be required per project needs.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Commitment to safety policies and proper use of company assets.
• Authorized to work in the United States and hold a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform installation, termination, labeling, and testing of copper cabling
• Perform copper certification; download, analyze, archive, and deliver test results and as-built documentation
• Plan and manage material usage, storage, and inventory to reduce waste and support project timelines
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional jobsite in compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) policies
• Provide regular project status updates to the Project Manager and proactively elevate risks or issues
• Coordinate, and oversee subcontractors and internal crews to meet scope, schedule, and quality expectations
• Act as the primary on-site customer point of contact for installation activities, changes, and field coordination
• Complete all required documentation (daily reports, material inventories, quality inspections, close-out packages) accurately and on time
• Obtain customer project acceptance upon completion
