Job summary

AFL Telecommunications, LLC is seeking a dedicated Low Voltage Technician III to lead installation and testing of structured cabling and telecom systems. You will serve as on-site lead, interfacing directly with customers to ensure safe, efficient project execution and full compliance with company and industry standards.

The role requires acting as a working lead, coordinating crews and subcontractors, managing materials, and delivering thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in installing and maintaining telecom/low-voltage infra.
• Copper termination to quality standards.
• Strong understanding of cabling categories, pathways, telecom room standards and testing.
• Proficient with professional cable and fiber testing tools; analyze results and fix faults.
• Ability to read scopes of work, drawings, and wiring diagrams.
• Proficient with computers/tablets for reports and portals.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform installation, termination, labeling, and testing of copper cabling.
• Perform copper certification; download, analyze, archive, and deliver test results and as-built documentation.
• Plan and manage material usage, storage, and inventory to support timelines.
• Maintain a clean, safe jobsite in line with EHS policies.
• Provide regular project status updates to Project Manager and escalate risks.
• Coordinate and oversee subcontractors and internal crews to meet scope and schedule.
• Act as primary on-site customer contact for installation activities and changes.
• Complete all documentation on time (daily reports, inventories, inspections, close-out).
• Obtain customer project acceptance upon completion.
