Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Lead, Systems Engineering Link 22 to join a team providing requirements, design, development, testing, and integration for ground and airborne ISR and communications platforms.

The ideal candidate is a Link 22 SME with hands-on architecture development, configuration, integration, and training expertise across airborne and maritime applications. Travel varies by program phase.

Qualifications

Active US Secret clearance with eligibility for TS/SCI.
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering technology and minimum of 9 years of relevant experience (Software Engineer also considered with relevant experience).
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
Demonstrated understanding of core Systems Engineering requirements development, decomposition, traceability, verification, and validation.
Prior experience creating tactical datalink (TDL) scenarios in support of software development, integration, and testing phases.
Proven problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities in complex technical environments.
Hands-on experience integrating and configuring Link 22 tactical data link systems for airborne or ground-based applications.
Working knowledge of Link 22 network architecture, NPG design, time slot assignment, and STANAG 5522 message standards.
Hands-on experience with Curtiss-Wright & Leonardo DRS Link 22 hardware and/or software products.
Demonstrated experience architecting Link 22 data flows in multi-node, multi-domain network environments.
Experience performing NILE Link 22 standard and conformance testing for NATO weapon system.
Experience with NILE PMO and NILE GOTS hardware/software.
Experience integrating with software defined V/UHF radios.
Security+ Certified is strongly preferred.
Experience creating and managing exportable Link 22 configurations across platforms.
Ability to support flight testing and obtain flight physical.
Familiarity with Link 22 software updates and configuration baseline control.
Experience with Link 16 and other tactical data links interoperability.
Familiarity with Leonardo DRS and Curtiss-Wright products in tactical data link architectures.
Experience with domestic and foreign subcontractors/customers.
Familiarity with multinational interoperability testing events.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Hands-on experience testing, integrating, and verifying hardware/software.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary Link 22 SME, leveraging deep knowledge of Link 22 systems and configurations.
Integrate and configure Link 22 systems for airborne and maritime platforms for compatibility and effectiveness.
Architect and design Link 22 data flows across multi-node networks and time slot management.
Develop, manage, and maintain exportable Link 22 configurations across programs and environments.
Integrate Link 22 hardware/software components (SNC, SPC, LLC) ensuring interoperability.
Design physical architectures with Link 22 and other data links across security domains.
Design, integrate, and test wideband/narrowband communications for Link 22 operations.
Translate customer requirements into system-level requirements with traceability.
Write subsystem specs and evaluate alternative solutions to form preliminary designs.
Review electrical wiring diagrams to ensure traceability to requirements.
Develop Link 22 standards compliance and testing procedures per MIL‑STD/STANAG.
Plan interoperability testing in lab and field environments including multinational events.
Prepare presentations on Link 22 architecture for non-technical stakeholders and customers.
Develop/test plans and verification scenarios using Link 22 simulators for SW dev/test.
Contribute in an Agile engineering environment.
