Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Class A Lineman to construct and repair overhead distribution systems on energized and de-energized lines. You may travel to different job sites, including out-of-state locations, and report to the Foreman.

The role requires safety-focused work, leadership in the absence of the IEC, and mentoring of apprentices. Expect to work outdoors in varying conditions and be on-call for outages and emergencies.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of overhead line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work outside normal hours, including weekends, holidays, and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair energized or de-energized overhead distribution systems.
• Lead crew members in the absence of the Employee in Charge and conduct safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Operate and maintain bucket trucks, digger derricks and other overhead line equipment.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions and during outages, storms, or emergencies.
