Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is seeking a Class A Lineman to construct and repair overhead distribution systems. You will work on energized and de-energized lines, travel to job sites, and report to the Foreman. The role emphasizes safety, climbing various structures, and operating line equipment.

The position requires five years of overhead line experience and a valid CDL. Travel to out-of-state locations and O/T work are expected as needed to support outages, storms, and emergencies.

Qualifications

• Five years of recent overhead line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended hours including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Out-of-state assignments may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction and maintenance of overhead distribution systems with safety as a priority.
• Lead crew members in absence of the supervisor and conduct safety briefings.
• Train apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, and related hardware.
• Handle live-line work using insulated tools and PPE.
• Operate bucket trucks and other line equipment; climb various structures.
• Work outdoors in extreme weather and respond to outages or emergencies.
