Job summary

Denver Public Schools is seeking a professional learning designer to support the district’s vision for instructional improvement through collaboration with leaders, content teams, and facilitators across sites.

You will promote alignment with the instructional framework, develop coherent scopes and standards-based experiences, and embed culturally responsive practices in all training materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or relevant work experience in Education, Instructional Design, Organizational Development or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in instructional design, professional learning/development facilitation, culturally responsive sustaining coaching.
• Commitment to equity and belief in high-quality education for all students.

Responsibilities

• Supports the implementation of the district’s vision for professional learning across departments and sites.
• Promotes alignment of professional learning to instructional framework and priorities.
• Facilitates cross-functional design teams to ensure consistency across departments.
• Integrates culturally responsive and equitable practices into training materials and experiences.
• Applies adult learning best practices to support effective facilitation and develop resources.
• Builds capacity of facilitators and teacher leaders through coaching and sharing tools.
• Collects and analyzes feedback to assess the effectiveness of professional learning and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Uses data from professional learning systems to inform updates and continuous improvement efforts.
• Other duties as assigned.
