Job summary

Denver Public Schools seeks a Curriculum and Instruction Manager to drive equitable, linguistically responsive instruction district-wide. You will develop systems for high-quality curriculum, professional learning, coaching and assessments, and build capacity among district specialists to support schools.

The role requires leadership in data-informed decision making, collaboration with multiple teams, and a commitment to serving multilingual learners in an urban environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • At least four years of teaching experience in curriculum focus.
  • Two+ years of management responsibility.
  • Experience with urban districts and multilingual learners.

Responsibilities

  • Collaboratively creates and implements the vision and strategic plan for the Humanities team with Schools Team and other departments.
  • Develops capacity of district specialists to provide exemplary customer service and targeted professional learning.
  • Analyzes student achievement data to improve materials and school supports.
  • Implements the district assessment strategy and provides professional learning on assessments.
  • Builds a strong team culture aligned with district values and service to schools.
  • Partners with Schools Team to deploy Humanities instructional specialists effectively.
  • Keeps Humanities Director informed about progress and issues.
