Job summary

KIPP Foundation seeks a Director of Learning Design to envision and design adult learning strategies for school and regional instructional leaders across the network. You will establish a centralized blueprint, gather expertise, prototype models, and coordinate with multiple teams to implement innovative learning approaches.

Reporting to the Managing Director of Design Lab, you will lead stakeholder engagement, pilot regional PD, and develop a portfolio of training programs that drive strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of ten years of professional experience in adult learning, training, and development.
• Systems and design thinking expertise.
• Excellent relationship building skills, with the ability to work effectively with and influence others at all levels of an organization.
• Demonstrated success managing and facilitating organizational change efforts.
• Strong cultural competence with an ability to communicate and influence across lines of difference.
• Robust project management skills, with the ability to manage complex projects and deliver against aggressive timelines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in K-12 education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage key stakeholders inside and outside the KIPP network to understand current programs and needs.
• Lead cross-team efforts to design a shared approach to leadership training and development.
• Develop and design a portfolio of PD programs that drive strong outcomes and rigorous development across schools and regions.
• Create a centralized learning agenda to align programs across teams.
• Collaborate with instructors and subject-matter experts and the KIPP School Leadership team to implement the learning agenda.
• Pilot and develop regional PD approaches for local levels.
• Establish credibility as an expert and trusted advisor to diverse stakeholders.
