Job summary

CareerNerds, LLC is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to drive continuous improvement in our Cresco, IA facility. You will identify bottlenecks, improve product flow, reduce WIP, and lead cross-functional CI initiatives across manufacturing and office functions.

You will lead operators and technicians, develop capabilities, and foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout the site. A bachelor’s degree in engineering and 5+ years in IE with at least 3 years in management are

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
Minimum of 5 years of Industrial Engineering experience.
Minimum of 3 years of management experience.

Responsibilities

Lead site-wide lean activities (5S, standard work, VSM, Kaizen) to cut waste and boost productivity.
Develop and mentor facility Leads, Supervisors and Managers.
Standardize and optimize processes, sequences, layouts, and product flow.
Lead continuous improvement across manufacturing and office operations.
Develop detailed project plans and ensure on-time delivery of savings goals.
Design equipment layouts, workflows and safety measures to maximize utilization.
Collaborate with Operations and Site Leadership on a continuous improvement roadmap.
Create capacity models and production planning tools to improve scheduling.
Guide operators and technicians; support development and performance.
Conduct data collection and root-cause analysis to fix operational issues.
