Job summary

Terracare Associates in Livermore, CA seeks a landscape crew lead to direct crew activities on job sites per schedules and standards, reporting to the Production Manager. The role focuses on delivering high-quality service and coordinating day-to-day field work with safety and efficiency in mind.

Qualifications

• At least 3–5 years of habitat restoration knowledge.
• Valid driver license issued by the state where employed is strongly preferred.
• Pesticide license issued by the state or ability to obtain within one year with Aquatic Weed Control Endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Understand and implement site job specifications.
• Assign daily tasks to crew and ensure compliance.
• Perform landscape tasks: sod, plants, rocks, stump, soil, bark; debris removal; drainage; trenching.
• Safely operate landscape equipment (ditch witch, wheelbarrows, tools, blowers, chipper, grinders, bobcats, tractors).
• Report equipment in need of repair.
• Supervise safe loading/unloading of equipment.
• Assist with training of crews.
• Discuss job observations with manager regularly.
• Ensure adherence to company policies.
• Develop and maintain positive work relations with manager and team.
• Arrive on time, follow dress code and weather/sick leave policies.
• Perform minor in-field maintenance and repairs.
• Evaluate crew performance and report to manager.
• Other duties as assigned.
