Job summary

Terracare Associates is seeking a capable Landscape Crew Lead in California to direct daily crew activities on job sites according to schedules and standards. You will supervise maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, pruning, fertilizing, and leaf removal, while ensuring safety and quality across sites.

The role requires 3–5 years of commercial landscape experience, a valid driver’s license, and a pesticide license or ability to obtain one year.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of commercial landscape experience required
• Valid driver license issued by the state of employment is strongly preferred
• Pesticide License issued by the state or ability to obtain within one year

Responsibilities

• Understand and implement job specifications for each site
• Assign daily tasks to crew members and ensure compliance
• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, blowing, bed grooming, pruning, fertilizing and leaf pickup
• Successfully execute seasonal operations calendar
• Routinely monitor sites for quality and follow up with crews on performance improvements
• Supervise minor enhancement projects performed at the crew level
• Complete daily paperwork timely and accurately
• Assess equipment operation issues and communicate repair needs to shop personnel
• Supervise safe loading/unloading of equipment
• Assist Area Manager with training and development of crews
• Ensure adherence to company policies
• Develop positive work relationships with Area Manager and peers
• Perform minor irrigation repairs and maintenance
• Promote safety and proper PPE usage
• Encourage safe working conditions and on-time performance
