Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Director of Learning & Development to build and scale the organization’s learning strategy in a fast-moving, technology-enabled transportation company. This remote role is US-based, with sponsorship not available.

You will design an enterprise learning framework, oversee onboarding, and develop functional capabilities with leaders and subject matter experts, driving growth and consistency across the business.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Learning & Development with 3+ years owning a training function end-to-end.
• Experience designing and scaling training programs from the ground up.
• Proficient in multimodal learning design and practical instructional approaches.
• Hands-on instructional design focused on application, not just theory.
• Data-driven approach to measure impact and improve training effectiveness.
• Experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude) for content creation.
• Ability to work independently in high-output environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement an enterprise learning framework with governance.
• Improve onboarding processes to accelerate productivity across teams.
• Collaborate with department leaders to identify skill gaps and create content.
• Define and track KPIs to demonstrate value of learning programs.
• Build and lead a training team focused on functional training.
• Partner with SMEs to keep programs current as the business evolves.
• Manage the learning management platform and best practices in delivery.
