Maggiano's, Inc. is seeking a Sous Chef in Charlotte, NC. This role leads daily kitchen operations, mentors cooks, and ensures every dish upholds Maggiano's culinary standards of quality and consistency.

You will partner with the Executive Chef to develop talent and maintain high performance in a bustling, guest-focused kitchen. We value passion for Italian-American cooking, strong leadership, and a commitment to guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of culinary leadership in a full-service restaurant.
• Strong command of Italian-American cuisine and classic cooking techniques.
• Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a kitchen team.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health code compliance.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Able to perform essential job functions in a dynamic restaurant environment, with varying temperatures and peak-hour demands.
• Able to move throughout the restaurant, retrieve items, and transport supplies up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily kitchen operations and ensure service execution.
• Coach and develop line cooks and prep staff.
• Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
• Perform line checks to ensure Maggiano's specifications are met.
• Manage food production, prep lists, and inventory to minimize waste.
• Uphold sanitation and food safety standards per health regulations.
• Step into any kitchen station to support during high-volume periods.
• Collaborate with leadership to control food costs and drive operational excellence.
