Job summary

Waters Corporation invites a Principal Presales Consultant to lead software discussions for waters_connect in LC and LC-MS workflows across the US and Canada. You will partner with Territory Account Managers, Mass Spectrometry Specialists, ISS, PM, and Professional Services to drive opportunities from evaluation through close.

You will deliver tailored demonstrations, provide technical consultation, and guide deployment, licensing, upgrades, and expansion while navigating compliance and data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical field; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years in laboratory software, analytical instrumentation, or related tech.
• Experience with waters_connect required; UNIFI preferred.
• Customer-facing experience in presales, applications, or solution consulting.
• Strong presentation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to explain complex concepts to scientific, technical, and business audiences.
• Understanding of LC and LC-MS workflows and lab operations.
• Ability to travel extensively across the United States and Canada (50-75%).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary subject matter expert for waters_connect for North America.
• Support opportunities from evaluation through close.
• Participate in customer discovery to understand workflow and requirements.
• Provide guidance on capabilities, deployment, licensing, upgrades, and expansion.
• Support discussions on compliance, data management, and administration.
• Assist commercial teams in positioning waters_connect and addressing competitors.
• Deliver tailored demonstrations aligned with customer workflows and objectives.
• Translate capabilities into scientific, operational, compliance, and business value.
• Serve as a liaison between Product Management and the field.
• Communicate product updates and best practices to sales and support teams.
• Gather Voice of Customer feedback and market trends.
