Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Lead CI Engineer to drive continuous improvement across our operation in Oklahoma City. You will lead data-driven projects, coach teams in lean methods, and interface with management and customers to implement sustained improvements.

Responsibilities include executing Kaizen events, applying Value Stream Mapping, and guiding automation and QA initiatives, while ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost advantages for the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years in warehousing, transportation, or manufacturing; or Master’s with 5+ years.
• 7+ years in related warehousing/transportation or manufacturing experience.
• MS Office suite skills emphasized; Excel and PowerPoint expertise.
• Data visualization (PowerBI, Tableau) and database programming (SQL, DAX) preferred.
• Proficiency in Leader Standard Work, PDCA, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, 5S; advanced data analysis.
• Knowledge of WMS, CAD tools, slotting, and automation concepts; lean and Six Sigma required.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-impact CI projects across the operation to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth.
• Mentor and coach team members in CI, QA, and Lean principles.
• Design and execute Kaizen events and Value Stream Maps; sustain improvements.
• Interface with account management and customers; support start-ups, retrofits, and expansions.
• Provide regular data-driven progress reports and strategy recommendations.
