Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Lead Engineer to drive continuous improvement across warehousing and transportation operations. You will apply data analytics, Lean Six Sigma, and CI methodologies to deliver value in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth.

The role interfaces with management and operations teams and may oversee CI resources and automation projects. You will develop plans, facilitate Kaizen events, and provide actionable performance insights through dashboards and analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years in warehousing, transportation, or manufacturing.
• Master’s degree with 5+ years experience; MBA requires engineering undergrad.
• Microsoft Office Suite, especially Access, Excel, and PowerPoint; Visio expert.
• PowerBI/Tableau data visualization and SQL/DAX knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-impact CI projects across the operation to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth.
• Coach process owners in lean methods and conduct Kaizen events across value streams.
• Develop and implement continuous improvement plans; manage automation and start-ups/expansions as needed.
• Provide regular data-driven reports to measure progress against site objectives.
