Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Lead Engineer to apply continuous improvement methods across operations, driving data-driven changes for safety, quality, delivery, and cost. You will lead high-impact CI initiatives, coach teams in lean principles, and interface with management and customers to deliver sustained results.

The role requires strong data analytics, engineering expertise, and the ability to manage CI resources while reporting to CI leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, business, or supply chain with related experience.
• 7+ years in warehousing, transportation, or manufacturing, with CI exposure.
• Expertise in Lean Six Sigma and process improvement methods.
• Strong data analytics, SQL, and dashboard tools proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive CI projects across the operation to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost and growth.
• Collect data, perform analyses, map processes and develop improvement plans.
• Coach teams in Lean, QA, and CI practices and sustain results through Kaizen events.
• Interface with management and customers, and manage CI resources as needed.
• Provide regular status reports and support site objectives with data-driven insights.
