Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED plus 20 hours of pneumatic or electronic controls training.
• 4 years of related experience.
• EPA certification for removal of CFCs per EPA standards.
• Preferred plumbing, electrical, mechanical or gas journeyman’s license.
• Certificates of completion in related studies.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems in district facilities.
• Train and direct mechanics/technicians and supervise work assignments.
• Review and coordinate contracted repair work and monitor project costs.
• Read and interpret mechanical prints and wiring schematics for HVAC equipment.
• Maintain equipment, tools and vehicles; keep inventory records.
• Estimate costs for repair and new installation projects.
• Ensure safety, quality, and timely completion of work orders.
