Job summary

Montgomery-Public-Schools is seeking a proactive HVAC Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the operation, maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC and plumbing systems in district facilities. You will supervise skilled technicians, manage schedules, and ensure safety standards and district specifications are met.

The role requires leadership experience, a related diploma or journeyman certification, and proficiency with CAD and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or journeyman-level HVAC/plumbing certification preferred.
• Minimum of two years of relevant supervisory experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CAD required.
• Valid Alabama driver’s license; CDL or other specialized licenses may be required depending on responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervises HVAC Maintenance Specialists and Maintenance Generalists; provides direction and support for proper maintenance of schools and facilities.
• Coordinates daily work schedules, staffing coverage, assignments, and priorities to ensure timely completion of maintenance needs.
• Conducts site observations to evaluate operations, quality, timeliness, and safety compliance.
• Develops and improves preventive maintenance programs and operating procedures.
• Performs HVAC, refrigeration, ventilation, plumbing, and related mechanical system maintenance, repair, and installation.
