Job summary

Cambridge Public Schools is seeking a Lead HVAC Technician to oversee day-to-day operation and repair of HVACR systems across district locations. You will monitor building management systems (BMS), program controls, and ensure reliable climate control for facilities.

The role requires supervising trades workers and coordinating maintenance tasks in a 12‑month, 40‑hour schedule. The ideal candidate has extensive HVAC experience, EPA Universal certification, and a Massachusetts Refrigeration

Qualifications

• Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician’s License is preferred.
• EPA Universal certification is required.
• Experience with email, time keeping, and maintenance software like School Dude.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage HVACR systems across multiple locations.
• Monitor and program building management systems (BMS).
• Supervise licensed and skilled trades workers assisting on HVAC tasks.
• Inspect, repair, replace, and test HVAC equipment and components as needed.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes and safety regulations.
