Job summary

Walmart in Palm Bay, FL is seeking a skilled HVAC/R Technician to install, service and maintain commercial refrigeration and building systems. You will read schematics, calibrate controls, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

You will mentor apprentices, lead field teams, coordinate service calls, and communicate with customers to explain issues and outcomes. A valid HVAC/R certification and driver’s license are required, with on-call duties included.

Qualifications

• HVAC/R certification required and 2 years' experience in mechanical maintenance or construction for commercial HVAC/R.
• Alternatively, 4 years' experience in mechanical maintenance or construction for commercial HVAC/R.
• EPA 608 refrigerant handling certification (Type I/II or Universal).
• HVAC-R/Mechanical Journeyman license where required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record per policy.

Responsibilities

• Install and service HVAC and refrigeration systems including ductwork and controls.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues and perform repairs.
• Coordinate maintenance and inspections to meet building codes and safety standards.
• Lead teams, mentor apprentices, and communicate with customers.
• Operate company vehicle and participate in on-call rotation.
• Document service work and submit warranty claims and reports.
