Job summary

Walmart Northport, AL is seeking a skilled HVAC/R technician to install and service refrigeration and building control systems. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate with customers and team members to ensure reliable operation.

The role requires EPA refrigerant handling certification, 2+ years in HVAC/R maintenance, and a valid driver’s license. The position is full-time, primarily on-site with potential on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• HVAC/R certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field.
• EPA certification (Type I/II or Universal) for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable MVR.
• Commercial driving record with no major convictions in past 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Installs and services HVAC/R and building controls across commercial systems.
• Diagnoses and resolves mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues.
• Performs preventive maintenance & coordinates needed repairs.
• Drives company vehicle to service calls and supports on-call needs.
