Job summary

Walmart is seeking an HVAC/R Technician in Newnan, GA to install and service commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems across multiple facilities. You will read schematics, calibrate controls, and ensure compliance with building codes while maintaining energy management systems.

The role requires a HVAC/R certification with 2 years of mechanical maintenance experience or 4 years in related fields, EPA refrigerant handling certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

HVAC/R certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field.
EPA certification Type I and II or Universal.
Valid state-issued driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Install HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork, control panels, and building pneumatics.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues across commercial/industrial systems.
Lead field teams and mentor apprentices on procedures and safety practices.
Perform preventive maintenance to extend equipment life and minimize downtime.
Coordinate service calls and maintain equipment inventories and warranties.
