Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Technician for Facility Services (HVAC/Refrigeration) in Auburn, AL. The role focuses on installing, calibrating, and maintaining HVAC and refrigeration systems across multiple stores and facilities.

You’ll interpret schematics, ensure code compliance, and participate in preventive maintenance programs. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, coordinating repairs, mentoring apprentices, and supporting field teams.

Qualifications

• HVAC/R certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
• 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls or related field.
• Hold and maintains Type I and Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• HVAC‑R/ Mechanical Journeyman where required.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license with clean motor vehicle record and safe driving history.

Responsibilities

• Installs and maintains HVAC and refrigeration systems and controls.
• Reads layouts and schematics to ensure correct system setup and code compliance.
• Diagnoses and resolves mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues.
• Coordinates maintenance and on-call activities and mentors junior technicians.
