Job summary

Walmart is seeking an experienced HVAC/R technician in Tallassee, AL to install, configure, and maintain commercial refrigeration and building systems. You will interpret schematics, perform routine maintenance, and lead on-site teams while ensuring safety and compliance with codes and EPA regulations.

You will manage refrigerant handling per EPA 608 standards, coordinate with managers and customers, and drive service calls across a regional territory.

Qualifications

• HVAC/R certification required or equivalent.
• EPA 608 refrigerant handling certification required.
• 2–4 years of mechanical maintenance or construction-related experience for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean driving record.
• HVAC-R/Mechanical Journeyman designation where required.

Responsibilities

• Installs, configures, and maintains HVAC/R systems and components.
• Diagnoses and resolves mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues.
• Performs preventive maintenance to extend equipment life.
• Reads and interprets schematics and layout plans for proper setup.
• Coordinates service calls and mentors less-experienced staff on safety.
