Job summary

Walmart in Sarasota, FL is seeking a Senior Technician, Facility Services, HVAC/R, to oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems across our facilities. You will lead diagnostics and troubleshooting, implement preventive maintenance, ensure OSHA/EPA compliance, mentor field teams, and manage parts inventory and vendor relationships to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• 3 years HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration experience or 6 years with an AAS in HVAC/R
• EPA refrigerant handling certification (Type I/II or Universal)
• HVAC-R/Mechanical Journeyman where required
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems.
• Lead diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs to extend equipment life and reduce downtime.
• Manage refrigerant handling and OSHA/EPA compliance.
• Coordinate and mentor field teams; provide hands-on training.
• Maintain parts inventory and vendor relationships; schedule service calls.
