Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Senior Technician in Facility Services (HVAC/Refrigeration) to oversee installation, maintenance, and repair across facilities. This role leads diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and safety/compliance while coordinating field teams and vendor relationships.

The team supports Walmart’s facilities with HVAC/R expertise, ensuring reliable operation and adherence to regulatory standards in a dynamic environment. On-call duties may be required.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration.
• 6 years’ experience in HVAC/grocery rack refrigeration with AAS in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
• EPA refrigerant handling certification (Type I/II or Universal).
• HVAC-R/Mechanical Journeyman.
• 1 year in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or Walmart store experience.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no major infractions in the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of HVAC/R systems.
• Lead diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime.
• Manage refrigerant handling per OSHA, EPA, and codes.
• Coordinate and mentor field teams with hands-on training.
• Maintain parts inventory and vendor relationships.
• Support on-call rotations and respond to critical service needs.
