Job summary

Walmart in Sarasota, FL is seeking an experienced Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration to install, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial settings. You will interpret schematics, diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and support safe, compliant operations across facilities.

As a lead on field teams, you will mentor technicians, schedule service calls, document work orders, and coordinate with external providers while adhering to safety

Qualifications

• HVAC/R certification and 2+ years in maintenance or construction for commercial HVAC/R.
• EPA 608 certification (Type I/II or Universal).
• Experience reading schematics and building codes.
• Valid driver’s license and clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork and control panels.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues in commercial/industrial equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on walk-ins, reach-ins, and rack systems.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local HVAC/R regulations and safety standards.
• Lead and mentor field teams with a focus on safety and quality.
• Manage service calls, coordinate with external providers, and maintain documentation.
