Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Transmission Line Engineer to design transmission structures and high voltage lines. You will prepare specs, conduct analyses, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring compliance with industry codes.

The role supports field work, construction, and client interface across multiple US locations. The position requires a PE license, 7+ years in transmission design, and proficiency with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, FAD Tools, and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical).
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in transmission line design for high voltage applications.
• PE License required.
• Strong knowledge of structural design and analysis principles and tools.
• Strong working knowledge of foundation design and analysis.
• Proficiency in engineering software such as PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, FAD Tools, and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with NESC, ASCE, ACI, RUS, IEC, and IEEE.

Responsibilities

• Design transmission structures and power lines for high voltage applications.
• Prepare and review technical specifications and drawings.
• Conduct engineering analysis and simulations for transmission line design.
• Mentor and train lower-level engineers and team members.
• Perform independent reviews of work and calculations.
• Provide project support during construction and installation.
• Interface with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure success.
• Ensure compliance with codes and standards.
