Job summary

Le Méridien Houston Downtown seeks a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead and develop the hotel’s housekeeping team, ensuring exceptional guest service and adherence to sustainability guidelines. You will coach staff, manage schedules, and uphold brand standards in a fast-paced hotel environment.

The role involves training, safety compliance, and occasional room cleaning support, with opportunities for career growth within HHM’s leadership path.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience or equivalent training required.
• Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Train, schedule, coach and support associates to meet brand/hotel standards and HHM values.
• Screen applicants and hire new employees when appropriate.
• Train staff to clean rooms efficiently according to established standards.
• Be aware of and communicate guest service scores to drive improvements.
• Issue cleaning supplies and equipment to associates.
• Occasionally assist in cleaning rooms.
• Address associate performance concerns as needed.
• Supervise laundry staff if applicable.
• Prepare work schedules for HHM associates or coordinate with vendors for occupancy levels.
• Follow EarthView sustainability guidelines and practices.
• Practice safe work habits and wear PPE as required by MSDS and OSHA.
• Assist in breakfast area as needed.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
