Job summary

PACS Group is seeking a cook to manage and operate the kitchen in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor. The role requires a high school diploma and at least one year of hospital or long-term care cooking experience. ServSafe certification is required, and PCC knowledge is preferred. This on-site position is in the United States.

The cook will follow menus, prepare diverse meals, and ensure sanitary conditions while assisting with meal service and reporting any care concerns to the supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as a cook in a hospital or long-term care facility for at least 1 year.
• Must obtain and maintain ServSafe Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and cooking area in a safe, clean and sanitary manner.
• Prepare meals in large quantities following prepared menus and portion controls.
• Record food temperatures for meals.
• Assist with serving different meals.
• Report resident care concerns to Administrator or Director of Nurses.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing dietary staff training.
