Job summary

PACS is seeking a cook to manage and operate the kitchen in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor. You will maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen and prepare meals in large quantities according to menus and portion guides.

Requirements include a high school diploma, at least one year of hospital or long-term care cooking experience, ability to supervise under supervision, and a ServSafe certification. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year cooking experience in hospital or long-term care.
• Must obtain ServSafe Certificate.
• Ability to follow menus and portion control guides.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen and cooking area in a safe, orderly, clean and sanitary manner.
• Ability to prepare tasteful meals and to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Ability to follow prepared menus and portion control guides.
• Prepare special diets accurately and record food temperatures.
• Assist with serving the different meals and report concerns to Administrator or Director of Nurses.
