D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking an experienced Superintendent to manage multiple home construction sites from permit to closing, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring quality, safety, and on-time delivery.

The role emphasizes excellent customer service and adherence to building codes and company standards. The ideal candidate will oversee scheduling, inspections, and post-close warranty activities while communicating progress to homeowners and internal teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2–4 years related experience.
• Ability to manage the “13 Milestones of Construction” in JDE.
• Must have a vehicle and valid driver’s license to travel among communities.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, specs and codes.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; customer-focused.

Responsibilities

• Manage the construction schedule to deliver quality on time and within budget.
• Schedule subcontractors and verify workmanship meets plans and codes.
• Oversee each home site from planning through occupancy and ensure obligations are met.
• Authorize payments to subcontractors after inspection and approval of work.
• Maintain an exceptional customer experience throughout the construction process.
• Ensure site cleanliness and safety; monitor warranty post-close activities.
• Collaborate with sales, warranty, and management for open communication and issue resolution.
• Be adaptable to additional hours as needed.
