Job summary

Waste Pro is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a crew of shop technicians responsible for the repair and upkeep of the fleet and waste-handling equipment. You will direct workflows, enforce safety, and ensure timely maintenance to keep vehicles productive.

In addition to supervising day-to-day operations, you’ll review repairs, manage DVIRs, and coordinate parts with adherence to budget, while mentoring staff and driving continuous improvement across the shop.

Qualifications

  • Diagnose and repair heavy- and light-duty trucks.
  • Two years supervisory or lead experience.
  • Valid Class A or B CDL; meet company requirements.
  • Mechanic school or ASE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnoses mechanical problems and performs repairs on Waste Pro equipment.
  • Supervises maintenance team responsible for repair and upkeep of fleet and equipment.
  • Prepares and reviews repair orders, tracks labor and parts.
  • Coaches and evaluates staff, enforces safety rules, and trains employees.
  • Develops relationships with managers, drivers, and mechanics to ensure workflow.
  • Identifies parts needs and procures within budget; refers major purchases as needed.
  • Participates in safety inspections, prioritizes repairs, and ensures quality of work.
