Job summary

Waste Pro is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a shop team responsible for maintaining heavy-duty equipment and containers. You will oversee repairs, diagnose issues, and ensure safety and productivity across operations.

In this role you will manage repair orders, supervise mechanics, coach staff, and coordinate parts procurement while enforcing company safety policies in a fast-paced fleet environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; two years of vehicle/hydraulic maintenance or welding experience.
• Minimum of two years supervisory or progressively responsible lead experience.
• Valid Class A or B CDL; Waste Pro requirements to operate trucks and equipment.
• Mechanic school certification and/or ASE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses mechanical problems and repairs on Waste Pro equipment; road tests to verify repairs.
• Supervises team responsible for repair, installation and maintenance of heavy-duty equipment.
• Prepares and reviews repair orders; tracks labor, materials, and parts; maintains repair logs.
• Recommends hiring actions, coaches and evaluates performance; enforces safety rules.
• Develops working relationships with managers, drivers, mechanics and admin staff.
• Identifies parts needs and procures within budget; refers major purchases to Maintenance Manager.
• Participates in safety reviews; assigns work; inspects trucks and tools for quality and safety.
