Job summary

Waste Pro is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a maintenance shop team, ensuring safe, productive operation of vehicles, equipment, and containers. The role may act as manager-on-duty and involves coaching, scheduling, and adherence to safety regulations.

The job requires supervisory experience, CDL credentials, and strong mechanical knowledge of heavy-duty truck systems. A high school diploma or GED is required, with prior maintenance leadership preferred.

Qualifications

  • Two years of vehicle maintenance or welding experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of heavy-duty truck systems (engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, electrical, hydraulic).
  • Ability to supervise and coach a team in a fast-paced shop environment.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs on Waste Pro equipment to maximize safe operations and productivity.
  • Supervise maintenance team handling repair, installation and maintenance of heavy-duty machinery and containers.
  • Prepare repair orders, track labor and parts, and maintain repair logs for each vehicle.
  • Hire actions, coaching, performance evaluation, training opportunities, and enforcing safety rules.
  • Develop relationships with managers, drivers, and mechanics; coordinate shop workflow.
  • Identify parts needs and procure within budget; escalate large purchases to Maintenance Manager.
