Job summary

Waste Pro is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of shop personnel, directing workflow to keep Waste Pro vehicles, equipment and containers safe and productive. The role may act as manager-on-duty when needed.

You will diagnose mechanical problems, supervise repair operations, review DVIRs, and coordinate with management on staffing and parts. A strong focus on safety and leadership is required.

Qualifications

• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, body components and systems for heavy and light-duty trucks.
• Supervise shop team and enforce safety and productivity.
• Maintain repair orders and logs; review DVIRs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses mechanical problems and repairs Waste Pro equipment to maximize safe operations.
• Supervises team responsible for repair, installation and maintenance of Waste Pro machinery and heavy-duty equipment.
• Prepares and reviews repair orders, ensures proper charging of labor, materials, and parts.
• Recommends hiring actions, coachs, evaluate performance, identify training opportunities, monitor attendance and enforce safety.
• Develops relationships with managers, drivers and mechanics; coordinates with Maintenance Manager for larger purchases.
• Participates in safety lane process, reviews DVIRs, assigns and reviews work, inspects trucks and tools.
