Job summary

Waste Pro in Florida seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to manage a team of maintenance technicians and direct workflow to ensure safe, productive operation of Waste Pro vehicles, equipment, and containers. The role may act as manager-on-duty in the absence of senior staff.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, supervising a repair crew, and coordinating parts and repairs within budget while enforcing safety standards.

Qualifications

• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, and body systems in heavy- and light-duty trucks.
• Knowledge of fuel systems.
• High school diploma or GED with two years of vehicle/hydraulic maintenance or welding experience.
• Minimum two years supervisory or lead experience.
• Valid Class A or B CDL; Waste Pro requirements to operate trucks; mechanic school or ASE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses mechanical problems and performs repairs to maximize safe operations; review DVIR/repair orders.
• Supervises team responsible for repair and maintenance of Waste Pro machinery and heavy equipment such as Rear Load, Front Load, Roll Off, Grapple, and containers.
• Prepares and reviews repair orders; tracks labor, materials, and parts; maintains repair logs.
• Recommends hiring actions, coaches employees, and enforces safety rules.
• Develops relationships with managers, drivers, mechanics, and admin; coordinates parts within budget.
• Monitors work, ensures quality and safety compliance during road calls and maintenance.
• Participates in safety processes; inspects vehicles and determines repair priorities.
