Granite Construction Company is seeking a qualified Construction Project Lead in California to oversee projects up to $15 million in size, ensuring profitable outcomes and successful execution. The role emphasizes coordinating with estimators, sponsors, and managers to manage budgets, schedules, and safety.

You will apply knowledge of paving, dirt, and grading, work within union wage frameworks, and guide teams through bid reviews and startup planning to deliver high-quality infrastructure

Qualifikationen

• BS degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience in heavy civil construction.
• Three to five years progressive project experience in heavy civil environments.
• Minimum of five years experience in paving, dirt, and grading in either private or public environments.
• Knowledge of union agreements and prevailing wage issues.

Aufgaben

• Forecast project revenue and cost to meet profitability goals.
• Coordinate with estimators and project controls to establish budget.
• Lead estimating efforts on vertically integrated projects for accurate bid-to-build processes.
• Coordinate resources with estimators, sponsors, and managers to meet project schedule.
• Participate in bid reviews to ensure bid accuracy and feasibility; collaborate with the estimating team on bid schedules.
• Develop comprehensive startup plans with project teams for successful kick-offs.
• Foster communication among Project Engineers, Foremen, Superintendents and Construction Manager to ensure efficient, profitable operations.
