Job summary

R-2 Contractors is seeking an experienced Utility-Scale HDD Foreman to lead field crews on nationwide projects across power, renewable energy, transmission, and substations. You will plan, coordinate, and execute daily HDD operations while ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

The role requires 5+ years in HDD/underground work and 2+ years as a Foreman, with strong bore planning and crew development skills. Travel to project sites nationwide is 100% required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of HDD/underground utility or heavy civil construction experience.
• Minimum 2 years as HDD Foreman leading field crews.
• Strong knowledge of bore planning, pilot bores, reaming, drill fluid systems, and conduit installation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily HDD operations for large-scale projects.
• Plan daily work and coordinate crews, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
• Read project drawings, bore profiles, utilites locates, and specs.
• Ensure safety and quality standards are met on site.
• Train and develop crew members for career growth.
