Job summary

R-2 Contractors, Inc. is seeking an experienced Utility-Scale Horizontal Directional Drilling Foreman to lead field crews on nationwide projects in power, renewable energy, transmission, and substations across the United States.

The role emphasizes safe planning, coordination, and execution of HDD operations, crew development, and delivery of high-quality work on schedule. Travel is extensive and requires strong leadership and communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years HDD or underground utility experience.
• Minimum 2 years as HDD Foreman leading field crews.
• Ability to read project drawings, bore profiles, and specifications.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel nationwide and work extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily HDD operations for utility-scale projects.
• Plan daily work assignments, coordinate crews, equipment, and materials.
• Ensure safety and quality per project specs and standards.
• Train and mentor crew members and develop future leaders.
• Complete daily reports and project documentation.
