Job summary
R-2 Contractors, Inc. seeks an experienced Utility-Scale HDD Foreman to lead field crews on trenchless conduit installation across the United States.
You will plan, coordinate, and execute daily HDD operations, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time project delivery. You’ll supervise bore planning, setup, pilot bores, reaming, conduit installation, and crossings while developing crew members and coordinating with Superintendents, Project Managers, and customers.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years HDD or underground utility/construction experience.
- Minimum 2 years as HDD Foreman leading field crews.
- Ability to read project drawings, bore profiles, and specs.
- Experience operating HDD rigs, mud systems, and related equipment.
- Willingness to travel nationwide and work extended hours.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise HDD operations for utility-scale projects.
- Plan daily work, coordinate crews, drilling equipment, and materials.
- Read drawings, bore profiles, and utility locates.
- Coordinate drill setup, pilot bores, reaming, and conduit installation.
- Ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
- Mentor crew members and develop future leaders.
- Complete daily reports and project documentation.
