Job summary

Publix Super Markets is seeking a General Liability Litigation Claims Supervisor within the Legal & Risk Management department. You will lead a team responsible for managing litigated and high-exposure liability claims, balancing technical knowledge with people leadership.

You will influence outcomes, mentor claims professionals, and contribute to strategies that mitigate risk while serving Publix’s customers and associates across multiple states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 7 years claims experience.
• Five+ years of liability claims handling, including 3+ years litigated.
• Florida All Lines Adjuster license or ability to obtain.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
• Strong knowledge of general and automobile liability claims handling.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of claims professionals handling litigated and complex general liability claims.
• Provide oversight on investigations, evaluations, negotiations, settlements, and litigation strategy.
• Monitor claim activity for quality, regulatory compliance and best practices.
• Support resolution of high-severity claims with significant impact.
• Collaborate with attorneys and partners to achieve effective outcomes.
• Analyze trends and performance for continuous improvement.
• Coach and mentor team members through training and performance initiatives.
• Participate in strategic projects and quality improvements.
