Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Lead Engineer to join the CoCounsel Applications team, owning full-stack features across React/TypeScript and Python, and contributing hands-on to AI-powered capabilities including MCP/A2A tooling.

You will set technical standards, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver cohesive user experiences, driving execution from development to production in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience building production web apps.
• Hands-on coding with React/TypeScript and Python.
• Experience with APIs, AI concepts, prompt engineering, and LLM orchestration.
• Ability to lead through influence and guide architecture.
• Strong collaboration and communication in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end full-stack features across frontend and backend.
• Set technical standards for code quality, performance, accessibility, and testing.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to define APIs.
• Mentor engineers through pairing, code reviews, and guidance.
• Deliver work from development through production with reliable estimates.
