Eliassen Group is seeking a Sr Mngr, Full Stack Clinical Platform Engineer to design and operate production-grade AI/ML solutions for Global Development. This remote contract role focuses on data platforms, compliant pipelines, and AI-enabled workflows across CRO and internal systems.

The candidate will lead data engineering efforts, deploy Generative AI models, and ensure regulatory alignment. Strong collaboration with clinicians, data scientists, and IT is required, with emphasis on

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in computer science, biomedical informatics, statistics, or related field.
• 6+ years of data engineering experience in life sciences or healthcare with end-to-end delivery accountability.
• Experience with modern cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, or BigQuery.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and R.
• Proficiency in cloud architecture on AWS, Azure, or GCP and DevOps practices including CI/CD, containerization with Docker or Kubernetes.
• Experience building and maintaining pipelines for structured and unstructured data with enterprise integration.
• Deep knowledge of HIPAA, GDPR, 21 CFR Part 11, and clinical data standards such as CDISC, HL7, and FHIR.
• Hands-on experience with machine learning pipelines and clinical AI/ML applications including NLP, anomaly detection, or predictive modeling.
• Strong communication skills to translate technical architectures and outputs into clear recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Translate clinical and operational problems into AI solutions from problem framing to production deployment.
• Design and implement MLOps/LLMOps pipelines for large language models in production.
• Collaborate with data scientists to deploy and fine-tune Generative AI models.
• Develop scalable data and ML pipelines for ingestion, preprocessing, validation, training, evaluation, and deployment.
• Evaluate AI tools and frameworks balancing compliance, performance, and cost.
• Develop and maintain pipelines for structured and unstructured data across clinical development ecosystems.
• Increase data interoperability across Global Development systems and partner data sources.
• Implement automated quality monitoring pipelines and trigger corrective workflows.
• Maintain code repositories with best practices, reviews, tests, and CI/CD.
