Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Head Cashier to supervise a team of cashiers and assist with daily operations. You will ensure excellent customer service, direct staff at the registers, and handle scheduling and training to maintain smooth front-end operations.

The role requires 18+ years old, a HS diploma or GED, 1–2 years cashiering with leadership training, and the ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends. Competitive hourly pay offered.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 with a high school diploma or GED and 1-2 years cashiering experience supplemented with leadership training.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly behavior, a positive attitude and ability to be a role model in behaviors.
• Ability to operate front end equipment: register, calculator, scanner.
• Strong communication skills; ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Able to perform repetitious activities, multi-task, prioritize and stay organized.
• Must lift/carry up to 30 lbs., and move carts up to 35 lbs. for distances.
• Proficient in cash handling and basic math.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of cashiers and assist with operational issues.
• Provide direction and support to cashiers and courtesy clerks.
• Assist with customer assistance issues at the register.
• Schedule and oversee breaks in compliance with policy and state requirements.
• Assist in hiring and training new cashiers and take disciplinary actions as needed.
