Job summary

C4 Therapeutics in Watertown, MA seeks a Principal Scientist, Formulations to lead design, early-phase development, and manufacturing scale-up of oral solid dose candidates. You will drive progression from pre-formulation to technology transfer into GMP manufacturing for clinical trials, while leading external CDMOs and aligning with target product profiles.

The role requires hands-on technical leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to manage multiple projects with urgency

Qualifications

• PhD in pharmaceutical sciences with hands-on formulation development
• Experience in scale-up, tech transfer, and manufacturing of solid oral/parenteral dosage forms
• Strong written and verbal communication for regulatory documents
• Experience leading cross-functional drug product development programs

Responsibilities

• Lead phase-appropriate formulation development for clinical portfolio
• Oversee development, scale-up, and tech transfer with external CDMOs
• Direct and evaluate work of external scientists and vendors
• Provide leadership for master batch records and analytical data review
• Support regulatory readiness through technical memos and filings
• Collaborate across Discovery, Supply Chain, Quality, Tech Ops and external partners
