Job summary

Frontage Laboratories Inc. is seeking a Senior/Principal Scientist to lead formulation and process development from early development through scale-up, clinical manufacturing, and technology transfer.

The role requires hands-on leadership and collaboration across Analytical Development, QA, Manufacturing, Engineering, and PM. The candidate will develop oral solid dosage forms, including immediate-release and modified-release tablets/capsules, and will apply QbD and DoE to optimize processes.

Qualifications

• MS with 5+ years or PhD with 3+ years in pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical sciences, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-formulation and formulation development from early development through scale-up.

• Lead projects and mentor scientists while collaborating with QA, Manufacturing, Engineering, and PM.
•  
• Develop oral solid dosage forms and semisolids as required; support protein/sterile projects when possible.
•  
• Apply QbD, risk assessment and DoE to identify critical quality attributes and process parameters.
•  
• Prepare development protocols, technical reports, master batch records and CMC documentation.
•  
• Coordinate with Analytical Development on testing strategies and dissolution methods.
•  
• Support transfer to GMP manufacturing and regulatory submissions.
•  
• Provide technical training and communicate results to clients and internal teams.
