Job summary

Frontage Laboratories Inc. in Exton, PA is seeking a Senior Scientist / Principal Scientist – Pharmaceutical Product Development to lead formulation and process development from early development through scale‑up and registration support.

The candidate will mentor scientists and collaborate with Analytical Development, QA, Manufacturing, Engineering, and PM. Strong experience with oral solid dosage forms and QbD/DoE is required. This onsite role offers growth within a full‑time team.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field with indicated years of experience.
• Experience in oral solid dosage form development, formulation optimization, scale‑up.
• Hands‑on work with relevant processing equipment and unit operations.
• Familiar with cGMP, quality systems, and CMC development requirements.
• Strong writing, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead formulation and process development from early development to scale‑up and transfer to GMP manufacturing.
• Mentor scientists and collaborate with PD&M, QA, Manufacturing, Engineering, and PM.
• Design studies, DoE, and DoE‑driven optimization for oral solids and semisolids.
• Coordinate with Analytical Development on testing strategies and dissolution methods.
• Prepare technical reports, master batch records, and CMC documentation.
• Support clinical/registration batches and participate in audits and technical proposals.
