Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics in Massachusetts is seeking a Lead Formulation Development and Manufacturing Scientist to drive early‑clinical formulation strategies for small molecule candidates. You will design, optimize, and scale robust oral dosage forms, oversee process development, tech transfer, and GMP manufacturing, and coordinate with external CDMOs and internal R&D, QA, Supply Chain teams.

PhD with 8+ years in formulation science and GMP scale‑up is required; strong regulatory documentation

Qualifications

• PhD required with 8+ years in formulation, process optimization, scale-up, and GMP manufacturing.
• Deep knowledge of QbD, cGMP, and regulatory standards.
• Experience managing CDMOs and authoring regulatory submissions.

Responsibilities

• Design, optimize, and scale robust formulations aligned with target profiles.
• Oversee process development, technology transfer, and GMP manufacturing.
• Manage external CDMOs, review production records, and ensure quality compliance.
• Support regulatory documentation including INDs and IMPDs.
• Serve as a technical liaison across R&D, Supply Chain, QA, and external partners.
